Rakesh Ranjan is Assistant Professor of Chinese in Department of Asian Languages at the English and Foreign Languages University, India. He was trained in Chinese language, literature and culture studies at Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi where he was awarded gold medal for securing highest CGPA in MA Chinese in 2009. A recipient of MHRD-Chinese Government Scholarship, Rakesh Ranjan pursued advanced studies in Chinese at East China Normal University, Shanghai during 2007- 08. With a teaching experience of over ten years, he has also served as subject expert for several educational institutions and government agencies. His areas of interest include Modern Chinese Grammar, Teaching Chinese as a Foreign Language and Translation Studies.
